As you probably already know, Brian is riding his bike from his home in Largo, FL to the somewhat distant city of Portland, OR. When I say riding his bike, I don't mean his motorcycle but his normal bike which requires pedaling... lots of pedaling. Brian says that he often gets asked why he's doing this and if he is riding for some cause. I will attempt to paraphrase his answer...
"I don't understand why you can't do it just for the fun of it. I'm just going to go. A year ago the furthest I had ridden my bike was five miles. I feel like anyone can do it. You don't need special training. Yeah I'm protesting gas, and I like to promote doing things differently... but basically I don't have a car, and I want to see the country."
